Set in the 1920s, Firangi follows Manga (Kapil Sharma), an uneducated young man who dreams of joining the police force but fails repeatedly. During a visit to a village for a friend’s wedding, he falls for Sargi (Ishita Dutta), but his joblessness hinders their relationship. Manga possesses a unique ability to cure backaches with a kick. After curing British officer Mark Daniel’s backache, he is offered a police job. Now employed, Manga seeks Sargi’s grandfather Lalaji’s approval, but Lalaji, a follower of Mahatma Gandhi, refuses because Manga works for the British oppressors. The film blends comedy, romance, and patriotism as Manga navigates love and colonial tensions.
