The lives of Atmaram and his wife are turned upside down when they see their daughter Mala’s pictures in a magazine. They arrange for Mala’s marriage with the son of Ramlal. Mala opposes marrying someone she has not met, and is thrilled that the two persons she trusted, Sharma and Verma, had submitted her pictures to a magazine and are now willing to sign her up for a Bollywood movie. Unable to understand her parents’ opposition to her fame, Mala runs away from home with a lot of money and hands it to Sharma and Verma. Greed overtakes them, leading to Verma’s death. Mala, who witnessed Sharma kill Verma, is now on the run for her life. She boards a bus from Bombay to Goa. Sharma soon overtakes her and places an armed man on the bus to kill her. Then arrives Mala’s admirer Ravikumar.
