The film opens with a group of friends joking in their SUV while driving home from a party, only to be suddenly killed in a hail of bullets. Hours earlier, Sandeep Kaur Walia (Parineeti Chopra), known as Sandy, a top executive at Parivartan bank, waits for her boss, Parichay, at an upscale restaurant for a dinner date. She meets journalist Purva (Suruchi Aulakh), who invites her to a party later that evening. Outside, Sandy meets Satyendra Dahiya (Arjun Kapoor), alias “Pinky,” who claims to be a Haryana police officer sent by her boss to drive her to another location. Annoyed by Pinky’s driving—especially as he stays on the phone with his boss, updating their location—Sandy reveals she is three months pregnant. When Pinky hears hooting from an SUV of young men, his boss asks for his car plate number, and Pinky gives the SUV’s number instead.
