Jhanvi, a middle-class woman from Mumbai, lives with her widowed mother and younger brother. She has three suitors: the older, overweight Sonu Gates; Police Inspector Talpade, who is already married to Nandini but schemes to force Jhanvi into marriage; and Radhey, who often rescues her but breaks her heart when she discovers he is a cold-blooded killer working for gangster Ghanibhai. Ghanibhai is a ruthless criminal who openly challenges Police Commissioner Ashraf Taufeeq Khan and even kidnaps his daughter to ensure his own safety.
